Warning!
Danger to life, risk of injury due to impaired fire protection function: Fire doors (also smoke doors)
prevent the passage of fire (smoke). These doors are inspected and tested as a whole:
· Comply with building regulations.
· Check that the safety door certification matches the lock.
· Comply with the instructions of the door manufacturer.
· Always install a lock of a suitable size.
· Discuss any replacement of the lock with a different model and any retrofitting of the lock with the door
manufacturer.
Danger to life and risk of injury due to damage: A damaged lock is a safety risk.
· Check that the lock and packaging are not damaged.
· Do not install or use a damaged lock.

Danger caused by alterations to doors in escape routes: The safety features of these products are an
essential requirement for their compliance with EN 179 and EN 1125.
· No modifications that are not described in these instructions must be made.
Unsuitable doors impair personal protection and burglary protection: Only approved and technically
flawless doors are suitable for installing the lock.
· Before installing the lock, check that the door is properly fitted and is not warped.
· Check that the door is approved for use with the lock. The lock is not approved for use on swing doors.
· Check that the door controls do not interfere with each other.
