3.2- Additional safety rules for electric power tool
• In all installations, the power supply to the pump must be via an approved residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
• When the tool is not in use or before performing cleaning, turn it off and disconnect from
main power source.
• Never leave the product running unattended.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust.
• Maintain labels and rating plate through the life of service.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn on and off. Any power tool that cannot
be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
• Store idle power tool out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after sales
service or a person with similar qualification in order to avoid any danger.
3.3- Special warnings when using this electric pump
• The pump is not suitable to deliver drinking water.
• The pump is designed for pumping water medium only. Do not use the pump to deliver
flammable, toxic, corrosive or irritant fluids.
• Do not start the pump when any persons or animals are in the water.
• Before putting the pump into operation, a qualified electrician must check that the required
electrical safety measures are in place.
• Before putting the pump into operation, check that the electrical cord and electrical residual
current circuit breaker (sensitivity not exceeding 30 mA) are not damaged.
• When installing, keep proper footing and balance at all times.
• Where possible avoid using extension cords as this can lead to a voltage drop which may
cause power loss and overheating If the product is used with extension cord, ensure that
extension cord withstands product ratings. If used outdoors, use only extension cords
intended for outdoor use.
• Do not carry the pump with the power cable or the float switch cable.
• Make sure the pump is operating in up-right and there is sufficient space for the functioning
of floating switch.
• Do not move the pump while it is working.
• The temperature of the fluid to be pumped may not exceed 35 °C.
• Unplug from the mains electricity before carrying out cleaning, servicing or other changing
accessories on the pump.
• Never allow the pump to run dry.
• Never direct the discharge flow towards any persons, animals, electrical wiring or
equipment.
• Do not use the tools in any operations that beyond the intended purpose.
