IV. GETTING STARTED
4.1- Unpacking
• Remove the product from packaging
• Check if the product and accessories (if any) are intact.
4.2- Assembly
WARNING!
Before starting assembly or changing accessories, turn it off and disconnect from mains
power source.
Connecting hose
• Make sure the outlet connector (5) is securely fixed on the pump body by turning clockwise
onto the water outlet (6).
• Connect the discharge hose onto the outlet connector (5) and secure fix with hose clamp (not
supplied).
Pump setup
• If the pump is installed in an enclosed area with emission of noxious fumes (such as septic
tank, sump pit...), the installation must be carried out in compliance with local and/or
national regulations by qualified personnel.
• IMPORTANT: Before submerging the pump in water, upwrap the power cable (4) and
exsure the plug is clear of any damp locations.
• Minimum area for operation is 70x70 cm, so that the movement of float switch is not
obstructed.
• The pump must be totally immersed in water to be drained. Make sure it is positioned
upright and stable during operation.
• For deep water, use a rope (not included) and secure it to the carrying handle (1), then set
the pump in the desired position within the work area.
• If there is sediment in the work area, or the water is dirty, it is advisable to provide a support
for the pump to sit on so as to avoid clogging of the intake grid.
• Ensure that the float switch can move freely.
• The suction holes must never be obstructed (e.g. avoid clogging by weed or other matter).
Electrical connection
• Make sure that the power supply corresponds with the connection specifications of the
device (see rating label).
• Make sure the electrical cable meets the specification of H07RN-F or higher.
• Check that the power cable is not damaged.
• Connect plug to a wall socket 10/16A fitted with a ground connection.
• Ensure that the electrical connection is protected against water splashing.
• When operating outdoors, the electrical connections must be splash-proof; they must not lay
in water.
4.3- Switch On/Off
• The pump will begin to operate when the water level is high enough to operate the float
switch.
• Once the water level drops to the required level, the float switch will automatically switch
off the pump.
