TEST THE «+» AFTER CONTACTING THE ISOLATING/COMBINER
If in doubt about your + after contact, please run the following test:
- You only need one battery
- This test must be performed in a quiet environment with no ambient noise.
Connect battery + terminal to terminal 86 on the combiner/isolator
Connect the - battery terminal to terminal 85 on the combiner/isolator
Connect a battery charger to boost battery voltage or start the alternator
When battery voltage exceeds 13.4v, wait at least 10s
A " clacking " noise can be heard and a vibration can be felt when a finger is placed on it, corresponding to the
closing of the relay and confirming that the Unisplit is functioning correctly.
This test can be carried out by connection with a battery charger (see 2- Isolated site connection with
battery charger). If battery 1 exceeds 13.4V, the Unisplit will combine the battery 2, which will then increase
in voltage, confirming correct functioning.
If the combiner does not operate after these tests, please contact our Aftersales department.
