OPERATION
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK(S)
See Figure 12.
The battery compartment features slots to accommodate two
compatible 40 volt battery packs. Both ports are active, but
only one battery pack (installed in either position) is required
to run the pressure washer. To achieve maximum power and
run time, however, install two fully charged battery packs
prior to operation.
NOTE: For optimal performance, the use of two compatible
40V battery packs of 4Ah or greater is recommended. Refer
to tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correlation supple-
ment 988000-842 for a list of compatible batteries.
To install battery pack(s):
Raise the battery cover.
Align the raised ribs on the battery pack with the grooves
in the battery port and install the battery pack as shown.
WARNING:
Make sure the latch on the bottom of the battery pack
snaps in place and the battery pack is fully seated and
secure in the battery port before beginning operation.
Failure to securely seat the battery pack could cause the
battery pack to fall out, resulting in serious personal injury.
Repeat to install second battery, if desired.
Lower the battery cover.
To remove battery pack(s):
Raise the battery cover.
Press and hold the battery latch button at the bottom of
the battery pack.
Remove the battery pack from the pressure washer.
Lower the battery cover.
For complete charging instructions, see the operator's manu-
als for your battery pack and charger.
STARTING AND STOPPING THE PRESSURE
WASHER
See Figure 13.
NOTICE:
Do not run the pressure washer without water supply
connected and turned on, as this may damage the high
pressure seals and decrease pump life. Completely
unwind the hose from its reel or coil and make sure the
hose is not being restricted by tires, rocks, or any other
objects that may lessen or prevent water flow to the
pressure washer.
