1. Adjust the Water Temperature
If desired, you can adjust the maximum water temperature
setting.
Remove the plug button, setscrew, handle, and bonnet.
Turn the water to the maximum temperature by pushing the
valve stem up and turning it counterclockwise.
Mark the current position of the temperature stop tab (top edge)
on the mounting nut with a marker or pencil.
Lift both the indexer and disk just enough to clear the splines.
NOTE: Each spline notch represents an approximately 9.5° F (5.3° C)
temperature change.
Turn the indexer, disk and valve stem counterclockwise, until the
temperature is properly adjusted.
Push down the indexer and disk to cover the splines after the
temperature is adjusted. Make sure the disk is fully snapped into
the indexer.
Push the valve stem down onto the stop tab. The water will turn
off.
Reinstall the bonnet, handle, screw, and plug button.
