Requirements for safety temperature limiters
4.4
Installation of heat trace system
The connection box is fixed mechanically. It is
necessary to ensure that the IP protection of the
connection box is still ensured.
When installing trace heating cables, the mini-
mum installation temperature and the minimum
bending radius of the cable must be taken into
account. Furthermore, the maximum tempera-
ture stability of the cable must not be exceeded
(see Annex A and Annex B).
Detailed information can be found in the
brochure «Installation guidelines for trace heat-
ing systems with heating cables».
4.5
Equipotential bonding
There are internal and external potential connec-
tion terminals for the safe connection of the
equipotential bonding conductor. Depending
upon the version, they are designed for a mini-
mum terminal cross section of 4 mm².
