4. Installation
The generally recognized rules of engineer-
ing, IEC 60079-14 «Electrical installation
design, selection and installation of equip-
ment, including initial inspection», national
regulations and the instructions set out in
this manual apply for the installation and
operation.
A connection plan is enclosed with each
trace heating system. This connection plan
contains details relating to the contact and
terminal configuration of the main and con-
trol circuits in the terminal box. Adherence to
this plan is imperative.
The protective measures taken in accor-
dance with Clause 4 of this instruction man-
ual for the operation of trace heating systems
in hazardous areas shall be evident in the
electrical diagram of the installation.
