Manual
PTB 24 ATEX 1002 X
The manufacturer specifies the individual system
components to be used according to the respec-
tive operating temperature and the heating cable
used.
Additional heat sources that influence the tem-
perature class and the ambient temperature
must be taken into consideration in the temper-
ature calculation of the trace heating system.
When handling mineral-insulated electric heating
cables, it is necessary to consider that repeated
bending of cables can weaken their mechanical
stability, which could cause a failure.
2.
Conformity with standards
The trace heating systems meet the require-
ments of IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-7, IEC 60079-
31 and IEC 60079-30-1. Further types of protec-
tion are dependent on the type of connection
technique, temperature monitoring and addition-
al components.
They were developed, manufactured and tested
according to the state of the art and in accor-
dance with ISO 9001:2015.
