• To remove the mixing jug, turn it anticlockwise using the handle so that the arrow on the mixing jug is aligned
with the open lock symbol on the base station. Hold the mixing jug using the handle and lift it off the heating plate.
b) Lid with seal
Never use the lid without the seal (18). The seal prevents food and steam from escaping. Check that the
seal is in the correct position each time you use the appliance.
Hot liquids and steam present a scalding hazard. Always use oven gloves when removing the lid.
• The seal is attached to the lid before the appliance is shipped.

• To remove the lid, unlock the mixing jug from the base station and then press the lid release button (21). The lid
will open slightly. Hold the grip on the lid and lift it off the mixing jug.
You cannot press the lid release button when the mixing jug is locked to the base station.
c) Measuring cup
Steam may escape from the refill opening (16), even when the measuring cup (15) is inserted. The
measuring cup gets very hot. Always use oven gloves when inserting or removing the measuring cup.
• The measuring cup (15) is inserted into the refill opening to prevent food from splashing onto the surrounding
surface.
• Remove the measuring cup to add more ingredients to the mixing jug through the refill opening. Stop or interrupt
the cooking process before removing the measuring cup and adding more ingredients.
• The measuring cup can also be used to measure liquids.
• To remove the measuring cup, turn it anticlockwise.
• To insert the measuring cup, place it into the refill opening (with the open side facing down) and turn it clockwise.
d) Blade unit with seal
The blade is very sharp. Always handle the blade unit with care to prevent the risk of injury. Only
hold the blade unit using the hexagonal bolt.
Only use the mixing jug when the blade unit is inserted, otherwise the contents of the jug may spill and
damage the appliance. Check that the seal is in the correct position.

• If the seal is not in place (e.g. after you have cleaned the lid),
stretch it around the lid with the wider side pointing inwards (see

• To replace the lid, insert the notch (a) on the lid into the spout (b)
and gently press the lid downwards onto the handle until it clicks
into place (see ).

If the lid is not inserted properly, "E01" will appear on the
LCD display (3) when you turn the multi-cooker on.
