• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an authorised repair
centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
b) Connecting the mains cable
• Before connecting the multi-cooker to the mains, make sure that your local A/C mains voltage matches
the specifications on the nameplate.
• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of tables or other surfaces on which the multi-cooker is
standing.
• Completely unwind the mains cable before use. A mains cable that is not completely unwound can lead
to overheating, which constitutes a fire hazard.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the appliance and be easily accessible.
• Never unplug the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always use the grips on the sides
of the plug.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains after use and before cleaning, inserting, or removing attachments.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
• Always unplug the appliance when it is unattended.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical
stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the
mains cable, otherwise it may be damaged. Damaged mains cables can cause a fatal electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. Power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the
circuit breaker) and then carefully unplug the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product
if the mains cable is damaged.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Always lay the mains cable so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in it, as this may cause
injuries.
• The multi-cooker must be switched off before it is connected to the mains.
c) Accessories/attachments
• Only use the accessories that come with the appliance.
• The blade unit will continue to turn for a while after the multi-cooker has been switched off. Always wait
until the blade has come to a complete standstill before handling the appliance.
• The blade is very sharp and has the potential to cause injury. Exercise caution when handling the blade
and when emptying or cleaning the mixing jug.
• Do not use the appliance if the blade is damaged.
