Inspection of the lines and connections
- Regularly check the connections for leaks
If the connections are leaking, the seals must be repaired.
The lines must be replaced if they show signs of ageing, breakage, cracking, swelling, abrasion, etc.
Regular inspection of the filter
If the filter cartridge is clogged or damaged, refer to the filter manufacturer's instructions
for details of how to restore the filter cartridge to its original filtering condition.
Checking the oil level
INFORMAZIONE
Check the oil level while the electric pump is cold and
in a flat position.
Before topping up, clean the plug and the surrounding
area to prevent contaminating the oil.
Only piston electric pumps are equipped with a level
gauge-breather plug (B).
In addition to the level gauge-breather plug, some
piston electric pumps are equipped with one or more oil
level gauges (A).
Perform the operations described.
1) For the piston pumps, check the amount of oil from
the fill-breather plug (B).
The oil must be between the "Min" and "Max" limits
indicated in the illustration.
Alternatively, for piston pumps and pumps with a
wobble plate, check the oil level from the level gauge
(A).
The oil level must be in the middle of the level gauge.
2) Based on the model of electric pump, screw on the
level gauge-breather plug (B) or the filler plug (C).
Refer to the "Oil Table" for the oil characteristics.
Changing the oil
Replace while the electric pump is slightly warm and
on a flat surface to help drain the used oil.
