Cable entries
In the factory the cable and conductor entries are
fitted with CEAG type GHG 960 923 P... cable
glands. The tightening torques shown in Table 1
below must be adhered to.

4.3
Assembly of the Ex plug
The explosionproof lamps are supplied optional-
ly with an Ex plug already assembled. In cases
where the explosionproof tube lights are sup-
plied without the Ex plug, it must be ensured that
the Ex plug is assembled by an experienced
electrician in accordance with the German Indus-
trial Safety Regulations (BetrSichV) or equivalent
legislation in other countries.
4.4
Initial inspection according to IEC
60079-14, Clause 4.3, Appendix C
After installation has been completed, an initial
inspection in the form of a detailed inspection
shall be carried out.
Among other things, this initial inspection
includes checking the following:
–
the tube light is in an undamaged state
–
the tube light with EPL Gb or Db meets the
requirements relating to the installation site
–
the equipment group IIC or IIIC is correct
–
temperature class T5 is correct
–
the maximum surface temperature T95°C is
permissible
–
the degree of protection IP 66 of the
Edition August 2022
