7. Installation
Mounting instructions
● Refer to Chapter 11 for component
dimensions.
● Permitted overall length of the sensor
cable [9], max. 10 m.
● The distance of the measuring probe from
the fan should be at least three times the
duct diameter or three times the channel
width.
● The measuring probe must be positioned
such that a stable flow state is guaranteed,
with sufficient distance to shutters, fans,
etc.
● The protection cap for the sensor must be
removed before installing the device.
● Line up the measuring probe such that the
probe opening is lying in the direction of
the main flow. The slot in the probe head
is then parallel to the direction of flow.
● Protect the measuring probe from dirt and
water.
● If an air heater is used in the duct or
channel system, the measuring probe [9]
must be installed in the direction of flow
ahead of the air heater.
● Please take note of the technical data.
Installing the measuring probe
1. Drill a 22 mm diameter hole in the
duct/channel.
2. Fit the measuring probe holder using
the 4 screws supplied.
3. Remove sensor protection cap.
4. Adjust the probe to the required insertion
depth using the scale and fix it with the
terminal [7].
The sensor air opening should be
located at the centre of the duct/
channel. The printed scale can be
used here as an adjustment aid.
Select the maximum insertion depth
with larger ducts/channels. Make
sure that the directional arrow on the
end of the sensor matches the air
flow direction.

terminals, switch off all supply
circuits. Switch off mains fuse,
secure against being accidentally
switched back on and position
a visible warning sign.
Information
● Always note the relevant specifications
for electrical installations and when fitting
equipment. In Germany observe DIN
VDE 0100 and the corresponding parts
in particular.
1. Mount the control unit inside the Control
cabinet on a 35 mm profile rail, in accor-
dance with DIN EN 60715.
2. Wire the control unit according to the
wiring diagram printed on the control unit.
Setpoint adjustment
1. Use a screwdriver to set the required air
flow setpoint at the adjusting screw [5].
Pay special attention to the time steps
in Chapter 3.2.
2. Carry out a functional check.
We recommend carrying out an
airflow comparative measurement
with a hot-wire anemometer.
