7.
Insert the pump tube through the bottom piece on
the lid. Push the pump into the container until it hits
the bottom, sliding the O-ring up the tube as you go.
(See Figure 7)
8. Once the pump is in place, slide the O-ring down
until it meets the topmost part of the bottom piece,
then tighten the top adapter onto the bottom piece.
USING THE PUMP
For best results, your pumping method will need to vary
for the quantity of liquid required and for the viscosity of
liquid being pumped.
With more viscous liquids, slow and steady strokes are
the best. If you require an exact amount of liquid, use
shorter strokes as you near the quantity of liquid required.
The outlet nozzle swivels and can be turned up to prevent
any dripping, especially when pumping viscous liquids.
WARNING! Never use the pump when the outlet
nozzle is pointing up.

UNLOCKING THE SAFETY STRAP
Place a hand across the breadth of the safety strap and
squeeze. (See Figure 8)
This action will raise the locking spigot and allow the
safety strap to fold down.
NOTE: Always replace the safety strap after
using the pump.
REMOVAL AND CLEANING
1.
Remove the pump and hold the outlet nozzle over
a container or bucket and tip slowly backward and
forward until the flow stops.
2. When the pump has been used to pump water–
soluble liquids, rinse the pump by standing it in a
bucket of water and pump until empty.
WARNING! Respect the toxicity of any chemical
being pumped. Read the product label for
advice on necessary eye, skin and inhalation
protection and protective clothing. Remember,
the pump will have a quantity of chemical
contained inside it when it is removed.
