Target superheat
6.1.3
Vacuum display
Target superheat is a method
to set superheat ideally for a
refrigeration system with a
static expansion device. How
do you measure:
- Superheat with LP/T1
REFCLAMP (Blue)
- Indoor wet bulb temperature
with HP/T2 REFCLAMP (red) at
indoor unit inlet grid (before
the system condenser)
- Outdoor dry bulb with 1x K-
type thermocouple at
REFMATE's HP socket
If readings are within range, a
target is indicated and its
difference to the actual
superheat as ΔT.
If actual superheat is too high
= positive value (ΔT), add
refrigerant
If actual superheat is too low
= negative value (ΔT), remove
refrigerant
The vacuum value from the
connected REFVAC-RC is
displayed on this screen.
The vacuum value is displayed
in the same unit as is set in the
REFVAC-RC.
