Troubleshooting
Channels are not adjusted to the programmed output level: Check that the
programmed filter for the highest output channel has both presence of signal
and the right level, since this value is taken as a reference for the adjustment of
the selected output level.
The channels entering through the input of BIII are regulated incorrectly:
If we are entering only one channel through this input, its level would be set
5dB below the UHF level channels. But if, with the same level, we introduce
several channels, the Avant will treat them like a higher-level single channel,
thus reducing the level adjusted of all of them regarding to the one it would be
obtained for just one channel.
If we need to amplify several channels coming from other processing units, we
recommend entering them on the input "Broadband (47-862 MHz)".
Channels in the broadband input are not equalised as regards filters:
The "broadband" input amplifies signals coming from satellite receivers, the
recommended level for this input is between 70 and 74 dBµV (for UHF channels)
to get these channels equalised with the rest of the adjusted channels. If the
level applied is below the indicated range, these channels will have a lower level
than the rest; on the other hand, if the level is higher there will be disturbances
due to the intermodulation of channels.

A high/low level detected in an input or a filter: The adjustment process
begins with the verification of the signal levels introduced in the FM, BIII input
and finally with the verification of the programmed filters. The indication that
the FM or BIII level is low when we do not apply the signal in these inputs will
not affect the rest of the selected channels.
We must remember that level indications in FM, BIII inputs and filters shown on
the programmer's display, are a reference for the adjustment process, being the
unit able to balance channels, where a level error has been found, whenever
input levels do not present large variations as regards the maximum specified
range.
