Noni - 1.5" Recessed Ceiling Prep
Two methods listed below to achieve cutout in ceiling for fixture installation:
Method 1: Without optional mounting pan
STEP 1
For remodeler-style installation - use hole saw to cut a 2" aperture hole in ceiling (figures 1A & 1B).
Method 2: With optional mounting pan

STEP 1
Determine mounting method based on building construction (figures 2A-2D).
STEP 2
For commerical spaces:
Slide EMT or U-Channel through appropriate features on mounting brackets (figures 2A-2C).
For suspended ceiling:
Position mounting bars over T-Grid. Secure by squeezing mounting tabs and/or by threading
safety cable through holes on mounting bars & T-Grid (figure 3).
For wood joist:
Line up bottom edge of hinged mounting bar with bottom of joist and fasten in place with provided
nail (figure 4). Then swing up frame and extend mounting bars as needed to reach opposite joist
and fasten in place.
