pak during installation. Also the spotlight and the pneumatic
push buttons (which may be installed near the hot-tub) must be
connected to the spa-pak.
NOTE: the spa-pak, including the electrical box, must be housed
in a closed, ventilated room that can be accessed only using a key
or tools, and not by children or unskilled persons. Access must also
be guaranteed to the various devices for proper use of the hot-tub
(setting of heating temperature, filter backwash) and/or for special
maintenance.
Access to the aforementioned room is limited to qualified, author-
ized personnel (system operator, maintenance technicians) who
are responsible for keeping the keys so as to prevent access by un-
authorized persons.

ENERAL NOTICES
It is the responsibility of the installer to choose wires with a nominal
section that is adequate for the current input of the hot-tub, includ-
ing any accessories (see pre-installation information provided with
the product).
The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable instal-
lation solutions are left to the professional knowledge and profes-
sional of the installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee and certify
the installation. Also refer to
agrams at the end of this manual.
The Jacuzzi® hot tubs are safe appliances, manufactured ac-
cording to EN 60335-2-60, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN
55014-1, EN 55014-2 standards and tested during production
to guarantee user safety.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel who
are authorised to install the product, in compliance with the na-
tional regulations in force.
P
It is the installer's responsibility to select the mate-
rials according to use, carry out the installation cor-
rectly, and verify the condition of the network to
which the appliance will be connected, as well as its
suitability in ensuring usage safety during mainte-
nance and inspection operations.
The Jacuzzi® hot tubs are class "1" appliances. This means that
they must be connected to the electrical mains and earthing
system permanently, without any intermediary junctions.
P
Parts incorporating electrical components, with the
exception of remote-control devices, must be posi-
tioned or fixed so that they cannot fall into the tub.
Live components and equipment must not be within
the reach of individuals in the hot tub.
Q
Where the building's electrical system is not able to
guarantee a constant power supply, we recommend
installing a voltage regulator, suitably sized for the
power of the appliance, before installing the appli-
ance itself.
The electrical system that powers the equipment must be

5 and to the enclosed electrical di-
equipped with the following devices:
- omnipolar isolating device which ensures complete dis-
connection from the network with an opening distance
of the contacts defined by overvoltage category III.
- RCD device (differential circuit breaker) of 0.03 A and a
protective circuit (earthing system).
- protection device against overcurrents and short circuits
(e.g. thermal magnetic circuit breaker).
These devices, which must be located in an area that com-
plies with safety requirements, must be suitably sized by the
installer according to the laws in force in the country where
the equipment is installed.
For the equipotential connection prescribed by the specific
national standards, the installer must use the terminal provided
(as per standard EN 60335.2.60
In particular, ensure that all the metal masses surrounding the
hot tub, such as water pipes, gas pipes, metal boards around the
edge, etc., are equipotential.
The equipment is fitted with an LED lighting system compliant
with the standard EN 62471.
P
CAUTION! Before carrying out any maintenance, discon-
nect the appliance from the electrical power supply.
Five wires are required (three phases + neutral + earth) for
the 380-415 V versions, or four wires (3 phases + earth) for the
220-240 V versions.
The wire sections must take account not only the system's
input but also the cable path and the distances, the chosen pro-
tection systems and the specific regulations for fixed electrical
systems.
To ensure the degree of protection against water as set forth
by standards, the electrical box includes a sheath passage meas-
uring 1" 1/4 x Ø 32 mm instead of a cable clamp to facilitate
connection to the electrical mains, regardless of the cross-sec-
tion of the wires used.
The installer must use a sheath with adequate character-
istics and a cross-section compatible with the sheath passage
installed in the factory. He must also use watertight fittings at
joining points, and he must comply with specific systems engi-
neering standards. It is mandatory to comply with this instruction.
Any other procedure is prohibited.
The installer must connect the phase wires to the appropri-
ate terminals, and the neutral wire to the specific terminal N. He
must connect the earth wire to the terminal identified by the
symbol
, using care to avoid damaging the components in the
electrical box.
When installation is complete, the sheath passage must be
checked to see if it is watertight, and the cover of the electrical
box must be hermetically closed.
