6. ANNUAL MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS, WARRANTY
For perfect security conditions and longevity of the chair, it is advised to realize to a certificated professional the maintenance of the chair at
least once a year, or as soon as you are confronted to difficulties.
Warning : Only original parts of the IDEAL chair must be used to fix it. Otherwise the manufacturer's warranty will be lost.

6.1 Controls and repairs
Every component of the chair must be examined thoroughly in order to function properly in its intended use.
A careful inspection of the chassis must allow to control the absence of cracks, pull-outs, as well as alterations, deformations that could lead
to breakage. Warning, the absence of painting can underline the emergence of a default. Special attention should be paid to welds and the
cross system with respect to supported efforts.
The brake system must keep the efficiency expected. In case of doubts, it is advised to substitute parts found to be defective.
Attention must be paid on the wheels and the axis rotation, as well as the quality of their rubber tyres, absence of deformation or backlashes
on the axes. The wheels must be able to rotate easily, without any particular noise and perpendicularLy to the axis on a plain suface, and stop
immediatly using the brakes or when in contact with the floor (without pushing it). All the clamping parts must be controlled and replaced if
necessary. The screw thread must comply with the norm and not present any traces of wear and tear or rust.
The footrest's platforms must be changed in case of cracks or malfunction. The tube to adjust the footrests in height must be able to slide without
obstacles inside the top tube and must lock sturdily.
The seat, the backrest and the armrests mustn't present any imperfections that could lead to tearings or breaks. They must be systematically
replaced in case of doubts. A complete test of the chair must be done before giving the chair back to the user. The operation must be written
down on the maintenance and warranty booklet.
6.2 Storage
If you don't need to use your chair anymore, proceed to a complete clean up and check if it is in good condition before storing it in a dry and
clean room that respect the conditions of temperature and humidity abovementioned. To reuse your chair, it is advised to bring your IDEAL to a
certified professional in order to be completly checked up and for the adjustments to be adequate.
6.3 End of life of the product
Don't throw your chair nor its accessories away when they are not usable anymore. Give them to an authorized sorting center.
6.4 Warranty conditions
Your IDEAL chair benefits from a 2-year warranty against every manufacturing default. In case of repairs or substitution of some parts, warranty
will be still be valid on Herdegen's conditionnal approval and as long as original spare parts are used. Warranty doesn't cover normal wear-and-
tear of materials or parts. The manufacturer's warranty excludes every direct or indirect damages.
Your IDEAL chair has been validated by in-house testing and meets the requirements established by the French Ministry of Health and applied
by CERAH, which is a certified organism. The warranty booklet provided with each chair must be kept and completed after each operation
undertaken on the product.
