company for assistance. Contact with electric lines can
lead to fire and electric shock. Damaging a gas line
can lead to explosion. Penetrating a water line causes
property damage or may cause an electric shock.
Make sure of your footing, particularly when
working on ladders and platforms.
Hold the tool firmly to prevent the loss of control.
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces,
when performing an operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could
give the operator an electric shock.
Watch your fingers! Wear gloves! Keep your hand
and all your body away from the processing area. Do
not reach under the workpiece.
Exercise extreme caution when handling
scraper. The accessory is very sharp: danger of injury!
Wear protective gloves when changing tools/
accessories because they become hot after prolonged
usage.
Always remove the plug from the power supply
socket before carrying out any work on the machine
(before
maintenance
operation,
accessories, before cleaning....).
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.
INSTALLING ACCESSORIES
WARNING! Before carrying out any
works on the power tool it must be
disconnected from the mains and
choose a no damp or wet locations to
operate as follows.
1.
Remove the screw and washer from the tool holder
(2) by turning the screw counterclockwise. Use the hex
key (4) if the screw is too tight to be removed by hand.
2.
Place the accessory on the tool holder (2). [F1]
Make sure the alignment holes in the accessory fit
over the alignment pins in the tool holder (2) and the
printed side of the accessory is facing the tool.
3.
Thread the screw through the washer and the
accessory and into the tool holder (2) threaded hole.
4.
Turn the screw clockwise until it is finger tight.
Check to make sure the convex curve of the washer
is facing the head of the screw.
Make sure the alignment holes in the accessory are
still mated with the alignment pins in the tool holder (2).
5.
Firmly tighten the screw with the hex key (4).
NOTE: check to make sure the holes in the accessory
are still mated with the alignment pins on the tool holder
(2) after the screw is fully tightened.
Installing sandpaper [F2]
1.
Install the sanding plate (7) onto the tool.
2.
Firmly press the sanding paper (9) onto the sanding
plate (7).
Place the sanding paper (9) so the holes in the
the
sandpaper line up with the matching holes in the plate.
Press the sandpaper firmly onto the sanding plate
(7).
3.
To remove, simply peel the sanding paper (9) way
from the sanding plate (7).

INITIAL OPERATION
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply
voltage must match the information quoted on the tool
identification plate.
SWITCHING ON/OFF
Switching On
Slide the On / Off switch (1) forwards to switch on the
equipment.
Switching Off
Slide the On / Off switch (1) backwards to switch off the
equipment. [F3]
SPEED SELECTOR (3) [F4]
The speed of the tool can be adjusted to run

toward the left side of the tool.
To decrease the speed, rotate the speed
selector (3) toward the right side of the tool.
The optimal speed setting will vary depending upon the
type of accessory being used, the surface being worked
and the complexity of the project.
