• The light effect can be set up or installed with the mounting brackets.
• When installing at a crossbeam system, use suitable separately available crossbeam brackets.
• Use only assembly material suitable for the type of assembly and for bearing the effect light load.
• The assembly must never swing freely.
• Additionally secure the installation with a suitable safety restraint cable or a safety net. The safety reten-
tion rope or the net must be designed to support the effect light in the event of failure of the main support
system independently of the main attachment.
• Make sure that the projector head of the light effect spotlight can move freely; it may not hit onto anything
or be blocked.
9. DMX Connection
You can operate a maximum of 32 devices in a DMX chain without overloading the controller.
The maximum total length of the DMX chain should not exceed 500 m.
Use of XLR microphone cables may cause interferences in the DMX signal transmission. In this
case, please use special DMX high-frequency cables.
a) Connection of a DMX Controller
Only connect the device to a DMX controller with a DMX-512 protocol.
• Connect the port DMX IN (2) with the output of the DMX controller.
• Use a screened XLR cable for this. The controller must have 12 free control channels.
• Connect DMX OUT (4) with the DMX input of the subsequent device.
• If the effect light is the last or the only device in the DMX chain, insert an plug with a 120 ohm/0.25 W
terminating resistor into the DMX OUT (4) socket (between Pin2 and Pin3).
