MAINS CABLE (1, 2, 5, 8)
A damaged mains cable must be
replaced by the repair service,
as special tools are required. Do
not pinch the mains cable, and
protect it against contact with hot
objects. Pull the mains plug out
of the socket if you are not using
the appliance for some time, if
malfunctions occur and before
cleaning it. Never pull on the cable
to pull the mains plug or pull the
plug with wet hands.

Place the appliance on a level,
stable and heat-resistant surface
and make sure that it is dry and
out of the reach of children.
Choose a location where heat can
escape freely and where there is
adequate ventilation. Never leave
the mains cable hanging down.
Someone could pull the appliance
down and injure themselves. Do
not use the appliance outdoors
and keep it away from sources of
heat and naked flames. Exercise
particular caution when moving
the electrical appliance.

CLEANING AND MAINTE-
NANCE (3, 4, 8)
Switch the appliance off, pull
the mains plug and leave the
appliance to cool down before
commencing cleaning. Clean the
heating coil (f) and the pan rest
(d) with a damp cloth. Use kitchen
roll to remove the remaining
cooking oil from the grill plates
(a) while they are still lukewarm.
Rinse the grill plates (a) with water
and dry them using kitchen roll.
Then brush the plates with a little
cooking oil. Do not use steel wool,
wire brushes or abrasive cleaning
agents!
The pans (g) and raclette spatulas
(g) can be cleaned using water
and a little standard washing-up
liquid. If they are heavily soiled,
leave them to soak in cold water
for about 30 minutes before clean-
ing them.
Caution: Never immerse the elec-
trical appliance in water and never
hold it under running water.
