Timer facilitates the cooking procedure by setting the period of cooking zone
operation.
You can use the timer to set exact cooking time for one cooking zone at time.
Activating the timer
• It's possible to set the timer of a cooking zone for any power level from 1 to P.
• Touch the sensor (B+) or (B-) to activate timer. Timer's display indicates »00«
and you see a "t" blinking on the cooking zone displays.
• Within 10 seconds, touch the sensor (C+) or (C-) of the cooking zone for which
you want to set the timer, both »00« of timer and the led to the right of cooking
zone display will blink.
• By touching the sensors (B+) or (B-) within 5 seconds, set the desired cooking
time (from 01 to 99 minutes). After a few seconds, the timer starts to operate.
Cooking zone control lamp is:
▪ On, if cooking zone level is ≠ 0.
▪ On and blinking, if cooking zone level is =0.
To speed up the timer setting, keep the relevant sensors (B+) or (B-)
constantly pressed.
Altering preset cooking time
• You can change the set cooking time whenever you wish during the cooking
zone operation.
• Touch the sensor (B+) or (B-) to activate the timer. The set time blinks.
• Touch the sensors (B+) or (B-) to set the new desired cooking time.
Switching the timer off
When the preset time expires, a beep is heard which you can either turn off by
touching any sensor or leave it to turn off automatically after 2 minutes.
Switching the timer off prior to expiry of set time:
• Touch the sensor (B+) or (B-).
• By touching the sensor (B-), set cooking time to »00«. Timer function is off, but
the cooking zone continues to operate until you switch it off manually.
Fast switch off
• Simultaneously touch both (B+) and (B-) sensors and switch off the cooking
zone. Timer display indicates »00«, and the cooking zone indicator displays the
preset power setting level.
If the power level is not changed during a preset time, the corresponding heater
turns off automatically. The maximum time a heater can stay on depends on the
selected cooking level. Uninterrupted operation at every power level of each
cooking zone is limited in time. When the cooking zone is switched off by the
safety mechanism, the display shows the symbol "0" or "H", if there is residual
heat.
The cooking zone can be switched off by the sensor (C-) for setting the level of
cooking.
