1. dESCRIPTIoN
Media Kit Ethernet over Twisted Pair
This kit contains everything needed to create an Ethernet network via a Niko MediaNetwork with a performance of Cat5E UTP or higher. The main component
is a 5-port Ethernet switch 10/100Mbps through which up to 5 PCs or other Ethernet devices can communicate with each other or up to 4 devices can be
connected with the operator's incoming Ethernet port for for example Internet access. The switch provides auto-detection of the 10 or 100Mbps transmission
speed, per port, indicated with LEDs. An advantage of the auto MDI/MDI-X detection is that crossed patch cords do not have to be used. The switch is 4 DIN
units wide and can also be screwed onto the wall.
