We recommend slicing the bread with an electric cutter. Otherwise the
bread may be subject to deformation.
If the bread has not been completely eaten up, we advise to store the
bread in a sealed plastic bag or container. The bread can be stored for
about three days during room temperature. If you need to storage it for
more days, use a sealed plastic bag or container and then place it in
the refrigerator. Use up the frozen bread within one week. As home
made breads do not contain preservatives, generally the storage time
is shorter than bread from the market.
Preparing Breads with Schnellbacken (Quick Baking Programme)
Quick breads are made with baking powder or baking soda that is
activated by moisture and heat. For perfect quick breads, it is suggested
to put the liquid into the bottom of the baking pan, and dry ingredients on
top. During initial mixing of quick bread, dry ingredients may accumulate in
the corner of the pan. It might be necessary to stir the ingredients to avoid
flour clumps.
The bread maker can bake a loaf in a short time with the programme
Schnellbacken. Please note that you have to use warm water of
43 – 48° C. Use a cooking thermometer to measure the temperature. The
influence of the correct temperature is essential to the performance of
baking. If the water temperature is too low, the bread will not rise to the
expected size. If the water temperature is too high, yeast-fungi will be
killed before rising, which will also affect the baking performance.
Keep Warm Function
Bread can be automatically kept warm for 1 hour after baking. If you wish
to take the bread out of the bread maker during the keep warm time,
switch off the device by pressing the START/STOP button for 3 seconds.
The keep warm function prevents the bread from absorbing moisture.
Memory Function
If the power supply has been interrupted during kneading process, the
process will be continued automatically if the interruption does not exceed
20 minutes. If interruption time exceeds 20 minutes, the memory cannot
be kept. In this case it is better to discard the ingredients and to add fresh
ingredients into the baking pan. Re-start the programme.
