g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking
into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
6) Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs
may create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal
to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
e) Ensure that the switch is in the OFF position before inserting the battery. Inserting the battery
into power tools with the switch on invites trouble. Injury hazard.
(B) Additional safety rules for impact wrenches
a) Recommendation for the operator to wear hearing protection. Wear ear protectors with tool.
Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
b) Hold the tool with a firm grip with both hands (if possible) and keep a good balance.
The tool is best guided with both hands. If socket gets locked, a strong torque reaction may occur
when screwing in or loosening.
c) Position yourself so as to avoid being caught between the tool or socket and the workpiece.
Injury hazard.
d) Do not use dull or damaged sockets. Dull or damaged accessories have a greater tendency to
get jammed, or to break.
e) When installing the socket in the chuck, insert it strongly enough. If the accessory is not inserted
properly, the grip of the accessory is greatly reduced likely to increase the risk of loss of control..
f) Never grasp the tool (the chuck or the socket) while in motion and never place your hands too
close to the spinning chuck or socket. Injury hazard.
(C) Safety information about the charger and the battery-pack
Before using the charger and the battery, read all the instructions and cautionary markings on
charger, battery pack and tool.
1) Charger
a) Do not attempt to open or disassemble the charger. If the charger has been dropped or is
damaged in any way, stop using it and do not attempt to repair it. Return the charger for
repair to an authorized service center or a qualified person, to avoid any danger to the user; or
discard it according to local laws.
