3. Safety and hygiene instructions
This section summarises the information concerning all the essential safety-related aspects. The
individual sections also contain important information (with relative symbols) concerning safety, in
order to prevent the occurrence of hazards. It is also necessary to comply with the information given
on the pictograms, nameplates and wording on the appliance, taking care to ensure they are legible.
Compliance with all the instructions concerning safety guarantees optimum protection and opera-
tion of the appliance in complete safety and without problems.
The instructions concerning safety at the workplace refer to the EU directives in force at the time of
manufacture of the appliance. In consideration of the exclusively professional use of the appliance
covered by this handbook, please note that the user is required, within the limits of technical feasi-
bility, to maintain the conditions of use provided by the regulations in force in the country of use of
the appliance, at the time which this is used. If the appliance is used outside the European Union it
is necessary to comply with the local regulations on health and safety at the workplace in force at
the place of use of the appliance.
In addition to the requirements for health and safety at the workplace contained in this handbook
it is necessary to comply with the specific regulations concerning protection of the environment in
force at the place of use of the appliance.

Carefully read this installation, operation and servicing handbook before installing and using
the appliance;
Periodically make sure that all labels on the appliance are legible;
Do not leave the appliance in operation unsupervised. Keep the appliance away from children
and all unauthorised individuals; the appliance is not suitable for use by individuals (including
children) with reduced physical, mental or sensory capacity, with lack of experience and
knowledge, without supervision or instructions from a person responsible for their safety;
The appliance must only be used by duly trained personnel who are fully aware of the safety
requirements and the operational instructions contained in this handbook;
Do not touch the moving parts of the appliance. Always keep hands, hair, clothing and kitchen
utensils away from the moving parts during operation in order to limit the risk of injuries to
individuals and/or damage to the appliance. Also avoid wearing clothes with wide sleeves or
flapping parts, necklaces etc., which could get caught or trapped in the appliance's moving parts;
The operator must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable for the working condi-
tions to ensure the operator's safety and to comply with local health and safety regulations;
This handbook must carefully looked after. If the appliance is transferred to third parties this
handbook must also be handed over, as it is an integral part of the appliance;
All users must follow the instructions contained in this handbook and comply with the require-
ments for health and safety at the workplace;
