Insert the drill or the screw bit in the
chuck.
Fasten the chuck by hand.
Fasten the chuck firmly by inserting the
chuck key in one of the holes in the side
of the chuck and turning it clockwise.
In order to remove a drill or screw bit,
you proceed in reverse order.
Before inserting or removing a drill
or screw bit always pull the plug
from the wall socket.
MOUNTING THE SIDE GRIP
Loosen the side grip
Slide the side grip over the chuck and
onto the machine.
Turn the side grip into the required
position and tighten it firmly.
MOUNTING THE DEPTH STOP
The depth stop is used to limit the maximum
drilling depth.
Loosen the side grip.
Insert the depth stop into the hole in the
side grip.
Set the depth stop to the required drilling
depth.
Tighten the side grip firmly.
SELECTING THE OPERATING MODE
Select the required operating mode before
use (drilling or hammer drilling).
For drilling in wood, metal, plastics and
soft stone and for driving screws, turn
the drill symbol on the switch to the
arrow.
For drilling in masonry, turn the hammer
and drill symbol on the switch to the
arrow.
Always wait until the motor has
come to a complete standstill
before changing the operating
mode.
FORWARD/REVERSE SWITCH
Push the forward/reverse switch to the
left to drill holes and fasten screws.
Push the forward/reverse switch to the
right loosens screws.

ADJUSTING THE SPEED
This machine has been fitted with an
adjusting wheel for the maximum speed.
Turn the adjusting wheel as indicated on
switch to set the maximum speed.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
To switch the machine on, press the
on/off switch. The further you press the
switch, the higher the speed of the
machine.
To switch off the machine, release the
on/off switch.
To switch the machine to continuous
mode, keep the on/off switch pressed and
at the same time press the lock-on/off
switch.
To switch off continuous mode, press the
on/off switch again.
