Use
Park the car. Turn off the engine, engage the
handbrake and put the car into 1st gear, or
reverse gear ("P" in automatics).
Put stop blocks against those wheels which
are not to be lifted from � oor surface.
Raise the car using a hydraulic jack as
described in the car's manual.
Once the car is suffi ciently raised, place the
axle stands correctly under the car.
Raise the supporting surface (1) on the
column (2) to the required height. The
handle's ratchet (5) engages with each tooth
on the column.
Insert the safety split pin (3) fully into the
hole in the side of the axle stand, and lift and
release the handle (5) so that the column's
tooth safely rests on the safety spilt pin.

Carefully lower the jack until the car rests
fully on the axle stands.

If necessary, you can then remove the
hydraulic jack.

The car is returned to the � oor surface by
raising it slightly with the hydraulic jack,
removing the axle stands and then lowering
the car.
Pull the safety spilt pin out and lift the
handle (5) up to lower the column and the
supporting surface fully down.
