AquaFast Flange Adaptor
The AquaFast flange adaptor is supplied pre-assembled and should not
be dismantled prior to installation.

The AquaFast flange adaptor is suitable for use on the following
pipe materials:
• MDPE (PE80) & HPPE/HDPE (PE100) Polyethelene pipe
– SDR17/17.6 & SDR11 with up to 3% ovality.
Support liners are not required.
Installation of AquaFast Flange Adaptor:
1) Check that pipe is suitable for AquaFast Flange Adaptor.
Pipe surface must be clean and free from score marks that may
provide a leak path. The cut end should be square. Chamfer the
pipe edge, at least 45° x 20mm is recommended for ease
of installation. A thin layer of WRAS approved lubricant should
be applied to the pipe end and the 1st lip gasket before installation.
2) To aid installation, mark the pipe with the minimum
and maximum insertion depths (See Table 2), using
the end of the pipe as a reference. (See Fig 1)
Installation of AquaFast Flange Adaptor to pipe:
3) Slide the AquaFast flange adaptor onto the existing PE pipe.
(See Fig 2) The end of the product should sit between the min
and max insertion depth marks on the pipe. If both marks
on the pipe are visible, the pipe has not been inserted deep
enough, the pipe has not fully pushed past the gasket and the
product may leak on pressurisation. If no marks on either pipe
are visible, the pipe has been inserted too deep; this may
cause interference between the pipe and the mating flange.
4) Ensure the setting gap between the end of the pipe and the raised
face of the AquaFast Flange Adaptor is correct (See Table 2).
5) The clamp bands can be rotated to ensure the bolts are in the
desired position for tightening. If an adjustment needs to be made
unwind the bolts enough to allow the clamp bands to be rotated.
Rotate clamp bands to desired position Please note the bolts used
are reversible to add additional flexibility to the installation.
