7. Wiring. (cont)
Remove existing wall switch. Wire the wall control
as shown in diagram at right.
Wire the wall control as follows, using wire
connectors provided to secure each connection:
Connect BLACK wire with WHITE STRIPE (AC IN L)
from wall control to BLACK (AC IN L) wire in the
outlet box.
Connect BLACK (TO MOTOR L) wire from wall
control to BLACK wire from fan in the outlet box.
Connect BLUE (FOR LIGHT) wire from wall control
to BLUE wire from light in the outlet box.
Connect GREEN wire with YELLOW STRIPE
(GROUND) from wall control to GREEN/GROUND
wire in the outlet box.
*Wrap each wire connector separately with
electrical tape as an extra safety measure. Gently
push wires and taped wire connectors into outlet
box.
Attach wall control to outlet box and secure with
screws from original wall switch. Attach plate
(included) to wall control using 2 screws provided
with the wall control.
8. Canopy Assembly.
Temporarily raise canopy to mounting plate to
determine which 2 screws in mounting plate align
with slotted holes in canopy, and then lower
canopy and partially loosen these 2 screws. Remove
the other 2 screws and set aside.
Now, lift canopy to mounting plate again, aligning
slotted holes in canopy with loosened screws in
mounting plate. Twist canopy to lock. Re-insert the
other 2 screws and secure all screws with a Phillips
screwdriver. [Refer to diagram 1.]
Raise the canopy ring over the canopy until it is
even with the top of the canopy. Note: The rubber
cushions do not go over the screws. Make sure the
canopy and the canopy ring fit securely.
