Electrical connection
4.3 Preparations
Note
The knock-out apertures enable easy connection to
the heat pump manager (see "Electrical connection /
Connecting to the heat pump manager").
f Break out the knock-outs on the left or right-hand side of
f
the heat pump manager enclosure.
f Break out the knock-outs on the left or right-hand side of
f
the appliance enclosure.
f Undo the screw on the underside of the front fascia.
f
f Remove the front fascia.

f Align the appliance with the installation aid of the
f
WPM heat pump manager.
f Mark the holes to be drilled.
f
f Drill the holes and insert suitable rawl plugs.
f
f To secure the top of the enclosure, insert a screw into the
f
relevant rawl plug far enough that you can still just hang
the enclosure on the screw head.
f Ensure that the appliance locks into place on the WPM
f
installation aid.
f Then you can secure the bottom of the enclosure with
f
two more screws.
f Install a cable duct horizontally below the appliance.

5. Electrical connection
WARNING Electrocution
Carry out all electrical connection and installation
work in accordance with national and regional reg-
ulations.
WARNING Electrocution
f Isolate the heat pump from the power supply
f
when carrying out any work.
WARNING Electrocution
The connection to the power supply must be in the
form of a permanent connection. Ensure the appli-
ance can be separated from the power supply by an
isolator that disconnects all poles with at least 3 mm
contact separation. This requirement can be met by
using contactors, circuit breakers, fuses/MCBs, etc.
WARNING Electrocution
Only components that operate with safety extra low
voltage (SELV) and that ensure secure separation
from the mains voltage supply may be connected
to the low voltage terminals of the appliance.
Connecting other components can make parts of
the appliance and connected components live.
f Only use components which have been ap-
f
proved by us.
Material losses
!
f When connecting, please note the maximum
f
relay output breaking capacity (see chapter
"specification / Data table").
Note
The specified voltage must match the mains voltage.
f observe the type plate.
f
f When connecting the power, observe the relevant heat
f
pump electrical connection diagram.
f Protect the appliance on site with a 6 A circuit breaker.
f
The supply voltage at terminal L (X4.1) and phase L' switched
by X4.2 ("swimming pool input") must be routed via the same
residual current device, as they share a neutral conductor in
the WPE.
f Ensure that L and L' are in phase.
f
f Disconnect all heating system poles from the mains
f
power supply before installation.
No fuses/MCBs for connected consumers are provided in the
WPE. You can insert a fuse for the connected consumers in the
circuit via terminal L (X4.1) (supply voltage) and L* (X4.2) (supply
voltage for relay outputs).
f Bind the appropriate cables together near the terminals
f
using a cable tie.
