Field of application:

This helmet has been designed exclusively for work at height, rescue operations (with the
exception of firefighting), climbing and mountaineering.
Helmets for mountaineers and for work at height are fundamentally aimed at protecting
the user from blows to the upper part of the head (excluding the face) caused by objects
falling from above, from consequential cerebral lesions and fractures to the skull, and
from lateral impact.
This helmet is to be used in situations in which the risk of strangulation is lower than the
risk of the helmet coming off. The chin strap releases when subject to a force of more
than 50 daN.
The VERTIKAP helmet fully complies with all the requirements of regulation EN 12492
regarding mountaineering helmets and with a number of requirements of regulation EN
397 regarding helmets for industrial use: Shock absorption, Resistance to penetration
(paragraphs 5.1.1 and 5.1.2)
ATTENTION: This helmet cannot be used in the presence of a risk of fire or of electric
shock.
