4. Using the wheelchair

4.1. Set up

After unpacking the box, you must first put the wheelchair in working
order and get it ready for use.
Put the back rest in the upright position (Fig. 3).
3
Lock the backrest against the gas-pressure cylinder in order to adjust
the backrest (Fig. 4).
Fasten the Bowden cables by loosening the bracket (Fig. 5) from the
armrest using the Allen key. Position the Bowden cable underneath
the bracket and re-tighten the hexagon socket screw.
Put the seat cushion and padding in place.
4
Put the armrests with the rails in the holder. The adjusting knob
below the armrest must be at the front. Press the button on the hol-
der (Fig. 6) in such a way that you can insert the armrest rails. Once
you have released the button, the rails will audibly click into place
Attach the drive wheels with the quick-release axle. (Fig. 7)
5
Activate the parking brakes on the right and left drive wheels.
Mount the leg rests and fold the foot plates upwards.
Add the headrest.
Now adjust the trunk support pads, lower leg rests and headrests.

4.2. Food plates

The length of the support for the lower leg is adjustable in 5 steps
(each 22,5cm).
Unfasten the plastic screw (Fig. 8).
Select the desired height.
Re-tighten the plastic screw.
The foot plates must be folded upwards and swung to the side when
getting into or out of the wheelchair.
The footplate can be adjusted along the notches in the bracket by
loosening the Allen (hexagon) screw (SW 5) (Fig. 9).
Caution! The markings will make it easier for you to
position the mounting holes.

4.3. Leg rests

You can fold the foot plates upwards, or swing the legrests outwards
and take them out by pulling upwards so that you can get in and
out of the wheelchair as easily as possible.
In order to fold the leg rests outward and away, pull them upward
by approx. 3 cm until it is possible to fold them outward and away.
(Fig. 10).
In the "outer position", the leg rests can be completely pulled out
upwards (Fig. 10).
To assemble the leg rests, proceed in the reverse order.
Push the tube back into the leg rest bracket.
Fold the leg rest back to the front until it slides back to its original
position.
The legrests are independent from each other and can be adjusted
until they are in a horizontal position.
