TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
Problem

Solution
Do not force cable! Let the cutter do the work.
Allow a distance of no more than two feet between machine and drain.
A cable that is too large or too small in diameter for a line is more likely
to kink. (Consult Cable Application Chart – Table 1.)
Clean and oil cables routinely.
Replace damaged component.
If no problem found with the pedal or hose, replace the diaphragm
switch.
Replace switch. Note: Momentary contact switch must be held in
position to use reverse.
Replace cords.
Remove excess moisture from area.
Take motor to authorized service center. (Call General for details.)
Replace Ground Fault Interrupter.
Do not run machine in reverse. Use proper cable size. (Consult Cable
Application Chart – Table 1.)
Clean and lubricate feed rollers regularly. Replace worn rollers.
When cable coils wear flat, cable should be replaced.
Do not force cable. Do not allow too much slack between the cable
and the machine.
Replace slip clutch.
