4. Tighten the Tether Strap
With knee still in child restraint,
push down on the child
restraint again and pull on
free end of the tether strap to
tighten.

Check Vehicle Belt
Tightness
Grasp the child restraint
at the belt path with one
hand. Push and pull the child
restraint from side to side,
forward and back. The child
restraint should not move more
than 2.5 cm (1 in) and the
vehicle belt should not loosen.
NOTE: If it moves more than 2.5
cm (1 in.) or if the vehicle belt
loosens, try reinstalling the child
restraint or try another seating
location.

midpoint of your child's ears are
above the top of the booster seat's
headrest.
Failure to follow these warnings can result in
serious injury or death.
