Base
• Turn the patio heater (A) upside down and place it onto two pieces of plastic foam from the packaging. The on/off
switch (7) must sit between the pieces of foam to prevent it from being damaged.
• Guide the mains cable (F) through the holes in the base cover (B) and base (C), as shown in the diagram above.
• Place the base cover and base onto the bottom of the patio heater, as shown in the diagram. The cable must run
away from the heating coils (i.e. backwards).
• Place two washers (D) into the notches on the base. The flat side of the washer should face upwards.
• Insert an M6x50 screw into each hole and screw it into place using the hex key provided.
Laying the cable
• Insert the mains cable (F) into the slot on the base.
• Place the metal cable clip (H) over the mains cable and screw the cable clip to the base using the M4x28
Phillips-head screws.
Inserting the cable into the slot on the base prevents the base from squashing the cable or damaging the
cable insulation.
The base is now mounted to the heater. Turn the heater upright and stand it up using the base.
b) Setup
Do not expose the heater to vibrations, dust, alkaline solutions, hot and cold temperatures,
or damp environments. In addition, no powerful transformers or motors should be used close to
the product.
Never place the product in direct proximity of heat sources. Do not point any strong spotlights or
light sources at the appliance, as this may cause it to overheat.
Highly flammable materials such as decorative fabrics constitute a fire hazard and must be kept at
a distance of at least 1.5 m from the appliance.
Keep the heater at least 1.5 m away from walls.
The product must never be used without the base. Attach the base to the heater before using it for
the first time.
Warning: Do not stand the base on the mains cable, as this may damage the cable insulation.
• Place the patio heater on a level surface.
• Point the heater at an open space. Do not point it an object or flammable materials.
