Operating Instructions
Switching On/Off (fig. 2)
1. Before connecting the plug to the mains power supply ensure the
switch is in the off position.
2. To turn on, either push the switch up to position I at 700°F (375°C) or
down for position II at 920°F (495°C).
3. To turn off, ensure the switch is turned to the neutral position (centre).
NOTES:
• When the tool is first switched on, it may release a slight oily smell.
This is common and should pass after a short period of time.
• The heat gun will reach it's operating temperature approximately one
minute after being switched on.
• It is advisable to run the heat gun on position I for a few minutes before
turning off. This will assist the cooling process of the heat gun.
• Exercise extreme caution when attaching or removing nozzles as they
will be hot.
• Do not place hot nozzle attachments on flammable surfaces. Do not
touch the nozzle for 30 minutes after use.
