Recurrent tests
A close inspection (EN 60079-17) of the explo-
sion-protected HL43i hand lamps shall be car-
ried out at least once a year. The inspection has
to be documented.
5.4
Cleaning of the transparent protective
tubes
The transparent protective tubes are made of
polycarbonate (Makrolon 1143). Solvents must
not be used for cleaning. Dull protective tubes
have to be replaced by the manufacturer. Use a
suitable cleaning agent to remove any dirt or par-
ticles (cleaning agent for plastics).
5.5
Defective parts
Defective parts may be replaced only by the
manufacturer or by personnel specially trained
and supervised by the manufacturer. Use only
the manufacturer's genuine spare parts.

7.
Disposal
When finally disposing of explosionproof hand
and machine lamps the national end-of-life direc-
tive applying to this category of hardware must
be complied with.
