Cleaning the Coffee Filter

Press the button
to turn off the appliance.

Turn the metal funnel clockwise to release it from the coffee outlet of the appliance.

Allow the metal funnel to cool completely on a heat-resistant clean work surface.

Remove the residual coffee grounds from the fi lter. Use a food safe and heat-
resistant kitchen utensil for removing the residue to prevent the steel mesh from
damage.

Remove the steel mesh from the metal funnel.
Do not rinse the mesh and funnel under cold water while they are still hot as
this may damage the components.

Rinse the steel mesh and the metal funnel under hot water.
Cleaning the Appliance
ATTENTION: Use solvent-free and alcohol-free cleaning agents to protect
the appliance from damage.
DANGER: Never immerse the appliance in water to clean it and to protect it
and you from electric shock.

to turn off the appliance.

Disconnect the appliance from the wall socket.

Leave the appliance to cool off completely before cleaning.

Detach the metal funnel by turning it clockwise.

Remove coffee residue inside the funnel and mesh as described in CLEANING THE
COFFEE FILTER.
ATTENTION: Do not wash the metal funnel in a dishwasher. The metal funnel
is not dishwasher safe.

Remove the water tank, drip grid and drip pan from the appliance.

Clean the steel mesh, metal funnel, water tank, drip grid and drip pan with hot
water, a food safe detergent and a non-abrasive sponge.

Dry the components thoroughly.
9
Clean the housing of the appliance with a damp cloth and dry it.
10 Reassemble the components to the appliance.
