TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Dirty or clogged fuel filter or fuel
water
separator.
Low fuel pump pressure.
Fuel pump inoperative.
Flexible coupler broken.
Fuel solenoid valve failure.
Dirty or clogged fuel nozzle.
Improper burner air adjustment.
Faulty ignition module.
Ignition electrodes damaged or worn.
Thermostat knob is OFF.
Detergent valve is open, but
detergent hose is not completely
submerged in solution. (This causes
safety devices to shut down burner.)
Poor or improper fuel supply.
Dirty or clogged fuel filter or fuel
water separator.
Low fuel pump pressure.
Dirty or clogged fuel nozzle.
Improper burner air adjustment.
Scale build up in heat exchanger coil.
Water in the fuel oil.
Dirty fuel filter or fuel water separator.
Dirty fuel nozzle.
Improper air adjustment setting.
Fuel pump malfunctioning.
Low on fuel.
Excessive air supply.
Insufficient air supply.
REMEDY
Drain or replace as necessary.
Check fuel pump pressure, adjust
or replace as necessary.
Check pressure, replace if
necessary.

Adjust or replace electrodes.

Check thermostat knob position.
Close valve, or completely clear
vinyl hose into detergent solution.

and refill with proper fuel.
Drain or replace as necessary.
Check fuel pump pressure, adjust
or replace if needed.
