Pump oil appears milky or foamy.
Oil leaking from unit.
Water is leaking at safety relief
valve.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Engine problems.
Unit components are frozen.
Inadequate water supply.
Kink in water inlet hose.
Water inlet screen obstructed.
Pump sucking air. (Prime eliminated)
Eliminate leaks in intake line.
Obstructed or worn spray nozzle.
Damaged or obstructed valve assy.
on pump.
Pump packings worn.
Unloader/bypass valve not operating
correctly.
Water in oil.
Worn seals or o-rings.
Unloader malfunction.
Pressure switch malfunction.
Safety Relief Valve is defective.
REMEDY
Refer to the Engine Manual
accompanying your unit.
Allow to thaw. If any part of the unit
becomes frozen, excessive
pressure may build up in the unit
which could cause the unit to burst
resulting in possible serious injury to
the operator or bystanders.
Ensure hose is 3/4" diameter and
incoming water supply is turned on.
Remove kink.
Remove screen, clean or replace.
Tighten all water intake connections.
Eliminate leaks in intake line.
Insert high pressure nozzle.
Move adjustable grip on dual lance
counterclockwise to high pressure.
Remove, clean or replace.
Remove, inspect, clean or replace.
Replace packings.
Repair or replace.
Change pump oil. Fill to proper level.
Contact Service Department.
Detect and correct unloader problem.
Detect and correct pressure switch
problem.
Replace safety relief valve. NEVER
run unit without safety relief valve.
Doing so can cause an explosion!
