Partial cleaning

It is not necessary to disassemble the Spannzangenfutters for partial clean-
ing. Cleaning with compressed air or a high-pressure cleaner is not permit-
ted.
1. Remove dirt and swarf with a brush or broom.
2. Thoroughly clean the clamping taper, stops and collet attachment with
a cloth soaked in petroleum or benzine.
3. Thoroughly clean the Spannzangenfutter with a cloth soaked in petro-
leum or benzine.
ü The Spannzangenfutter is clean.

WARNING
Danger from stirred-up swarf
Injuries when cleaning with compressed air are possible due to
stirred-up swarf.
Ø Never use compressed air for cleaning.
Skin irritations due to contact with lubricants.
Lubricants may cause irritations in the event of contact with the
skin.
Ø When handling the collet chuck, wear safety goggles, long
work clothes and gloves.
Ø Avoid skin contact with lubricants.
