– The tank should be cleaned at least every two years.
– The tank should be serviced at least once a year.
B Shutting down in case there is a risk of frost: Fully drain the solar
storage tank – even the lowest section of the tank.
B Advise the owner/operator regarding the need for regular cleaning
and maintenance of the magnesium anode. Proper operation and
maximum service life depend on this.
B Hand all enclosed documents over to the owner/operator.

Shutdown
Never use the heating system's emergency switch to
switch off the heating system during the summer or
when you are away for an extended period of time, as
this will disable the solar thermal system.
6.1
Shutting down the solar storage tank
B Shut down the solar thermal system (
controller, the heat source and the solar thermal system).
B Disconnect the electric heating element completely from the power
supply and secure against unintentional reconnection.
6.2
Shutting down the solar storage tank when there is a
risk of frost
B Shut down the solar thermal system (
controller, the heat source and the solar thermal system).
B Disconnect the electric heating element completely from the power
supply and secure against unintentional reconnection.
B Close the shut-off valve for the cold water inlet.
B Attach a hose to drain the contents of the storage tank safely.
WARNING: Risk of scalding from hot water!
B Allow the solar storage tank to cool down sufficiently
after shutting it down.
B Open the drain valve.

Environmental Protection / Disposal
Environmental protection is one of the fundamental company policies of
the Bosch Group.
We regard quality of performance, economy and environmental
protection as equal objectives. All legislation pertaining to the
environment is strictly observed. To protect the environment, we use
the best possible technology and materials while taking economic
aspects into account.
Packaging
For the packaging, we participate in the country-specific recycling
systems, which guarantee optimal recycling. All packaging materials
used are environmentally-friendly and recyclable.
Old appliances
Old appliances contain materials that should be recycled.
The relevant assemblies are easy to separate, and all plastics are
identified. This allows the various components to be sorted for
appropriate recycling or disposal.

Maintenance
WARNING: Risk of injury from hot surfaces and hot
water!
B Allow the solar storage tank to cool down sufficiently
before performing any maintenance.
NOTICE: Risk of damage from unsatisfactory cleaning
and maintenance.
B Carry out cleaning and maintenance at least every two
years.
B Remedy all faults immediately.
Generally, we recommend that the solar storage tank be checked and
cleaned by a qualified contractor at least every two years. Please inform
the owner/operator accordingly.
B Shorter cleaning intervals should be chosen under unfavorable
operating conditions, such as hard or very hard water and/or high
operating temperatures or an increased water flow rate.
8.1
Checking the magnesium anodes
DANGER: Risk of fatal injury from electric shock.
B Do not operate electrically heated storage tanks with
an inert anode.
The magnesium anode is a sacrificial anode, which is consumed as the
solar storage tank is used.
B Check the diameter of the magnesium anode annually.
