Distagon 2.8 /15 ZM
The Distagon 2.8 /15 ZM is an ultra-wide-angle lens with
M-mount that delivers outstanding performance even at
full aperture. Filters are screwed into the M 72 thread, a
sun shade is integrated into the lens housing.
The lens comes complete with a dedicated center filter*,
anterior and posterior protective covers, as well as a
leather pouch. It requires a shoe-mount viewfinder for
a focal length of 15 mm (accessory). The viewfinder is
inserted in the flash shoe. A frame corresponding to the
size of the object field in the lens is projected onto the
viewfinder image.
Special features
The focusing ring is not coupled with the camera's ran-
gefinder. Therefore, it is not possible to focus with the
camera's viewfinder. Due to this lens' extraordinarily large
depth of field, it is sufficient to set an estimated range.
There are two 1 m and 2 m marks on the focusing ring.
Both marks can be recognized when looking through the
shoe-mount viewfinder. This allows you to simultaneously
set the image section and the standard range.
Example: Aperture 4 and a range setting of 2 m result in
a depth of field range of 1 m to infinity.
