3. Inflating the cuff and measuring
Press the Start/Stop button to switch the monitor
on. The entire display lights up and this enables
you to check that all the display elements are
working correctly (fig. 1).
The automatically controlled inflation process
starts after the monitor has calibrated itself
against the ambient air pressure.
Then the measuring process proper starts with
deflation. The „♥" symbol on the display flashes
and there is a beep for pulse rate (fig. 2).
The determined values for systole, diastole and
pulse are shown in the display and at the same
time the cuff is fully deflated.
A long beep signifies the end of the measuring
process.
