Adjusting the screw-in depth (Fig. IV)
The screw-in depth can be continuously adjusted by
turning the nut [15].
Note
The set screw [26] must be loosened
using a 2.5 mm Allen key before the
nut [15] is turned.
Clockwise rotation:
The depth stop moves down.

The screw head is screwed in further.

Anticlockwise rotation:
The depth stop moves up.

The screw head is not screwed in so far.

Note
The necessary screw-in depth is de-
pendent on the material and must be
determined by trial and error.

Retighten the set screw [26].
Lubrication (Fig. I/IX)

Prior to initial use, lubricate the guide tube [17]
with the supplied maintenance oil.

Attention!

If there are multiple self-drilling screws in the
device, it can result in severe machine damage.
Ensure that only one self-drilling screw is

contained in the machine.
Switching ON/OFF
▸
Switching on: Press the on/off switch [5] and lock
with the lock button [4].
▸
Switching off: Press the on/off switch [5] again
and then release.
Continuous speed adjustment
▸
Use the setting wheel [7] to preselect the max-
imum speed.
▸
The machine continues to run for as long as the
on/off switch [5] is pressed at a speed variable
between 0 and maximum.

Gear selection
Attention!
Risk of machine damage!
Changing the gear with the machine running can
result in severe machine damage.
Only change the gear if the machine is

stationary.

Turn the gear selector switch [21] until it engages
in the relevant position.
Screwing
▸
Position the device over the screwing location.
▸
The markings [28] on the base plate [13] and
centring unit [12] (Fig. VI) are to simplify set-up.
▸
Place both feet on the base plate and stand with
your centre of gravity forward over the pressure
point [29] (Fig. VII).
▸
Drop the self-drilling screw with the tip downwards
into the insertion opening [3].

Firmly hold handle [6] and auxiliary handle [2]
with both hands and switch on the device.
