Plug-in module DTM-1
The plug-in module DTM-1 is an interface module
that can be retrofitted and provides an analogue
voltage output.
It can be used with the level gauges
SmartBox
®
1, 2, 3 and 4 for connecting to
control/regulatory/acquisition systems such as in a
building management system.
The output signal is a standardised 0-5 V voltage
signal.
The tank design, tank size, and tank geometry are taken into account according to the
settings on the level gauge.
The following context is applicable:
Example: For a 25,000 litres underground tank, the digital indicator displays 5,000 litres.
This value corresponds to 20% of the volume. Accordingly, the plug-in module DTM-1 then
provides a signal of 1.0 V at its 2-pole output terminal.
ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
In order to avoid interferences, it is recommendable to use a screened 2-lead cable (e.g.
LiYCY 2 x 0.5mm²).
The plug-in module DTM-1 is inserted into the free slot of the level gauge SmartBox
On the level gauge SmartBox
• switch off the mains / supply voltage (230V)
• loosen and remove the front panel
• loosen the screw on the spacer bolt
• insert plug-in module DTM-1 (terminals 1 2)
and secure it to the spacer bolt using the
screw
• use the free drilled hole (self-sealing
grommet) to insert the cable into the housing
• connect the cable to the terminals 1 (+) and
2 (–) on the plug-in module
• connect the cable to a suitable input
(0 - 5 V) of the control / regulatory
/ acquisition system – observe the polarity
• switch on the mains / supply voltage (230V)
