SERVO INSTALLATION
1.
Remove the covers for the servos and weights. Thread
an M2 x 8 sheet metal screw into each of the mounting
holes. Remove the screws. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver
during this step.

Place 2 to 3 drops of thin CA in each hole to harden
the surrounding wood. Allow the CA to fully cure before
proceeding.
3.
Place the servo grommets and eyelets in the rudder
servos following the instructions included with the servos.
4.
Fit the servo in the opening with the output facing the
front of the fl oat. Use a pencil to mark the locations for
the servo mounting screws.
5.
Remove the servo. Use a pin vise and 5/64-inch (2mm)
drill bit to drill the holes for the servo mounting screws.

Thread a servo mounting screw into each hole. Remove
the screws.
7.
Place 2 to 3 drops of thin CA in each hole to harden
the surrounding wood. Allow the CA to fully cure before
proceeding.
8.
Use the radio system to center the rudder servo. Attach
the servo arm to the servo perpendicular to the servo
center line.
9.
Use a pin vise and 5/64-inch (2mm) drill bit to enlarge
the hole in the arm that is 12mm from the center of the
servo. Attach the pushrod connector to the servo arm. Use
thread lock on the nut to prevent it from vibrating loose.
10. Install the servo in the fl oat with the output facing the
front of the fl oat.
